I just got back from the VicRoads office earlier today.
Yours Truly is now the proud (legal) (registered) (and now insured!) owner of a 2007 Honda Shadow VT750C2 that is named Stylo.
Last night, I had a wonderful dinner with Paul and Tim, new friends I met here in Melbourne. We talked for some hours about Australia, the world and philosophy. Their company and conversation was a wonderful note to leave the city on.
This morning, following registration, I packed my bags up and secured everything to the bike. The saddlebags were put on, and then my totally awesome with a 0% jank factor luggage setup was armed.
Had a bit of a hiccup when, as I was cinching the left saddleback closed, the middle buckle ripped off. These saddlebags ... are not very high quality.
I'm spending my last hour in the state library, then making my way to go grab a tent.
